Hoping to see myself as a leading lady in B-town: Claudia

Claudia Ciesla, better known as the Balma girl after she appeared in an item number with Akshay Kumar in Khiladi 786, is now ready with another item number. The German model-turned-actress is all set with her latest item number in the Suniel Shetty-starrer Desi Kattey.
The actress confirmed the news saying, “I am performing in an item song ‘Patnewali hoon’ in the movie Desi Kattey.It is a hot and sizzling number sung by Rekha Bharadwaj, which I hope will turn out to be a huge hit as it is very catchy with a desi tadka, just like my previous item song ‘Balma’. In this song, I am wearing a red ghaghra-choli and I had to perform on the floor filled with guns which made dancing all the more fun.”

Now that Claudia is quite famous as an item girl in Bollywood, we asked her if she has any plans to act as a leading lady. She replied, “With the success of ‘Balma’ and now my latest item song in 'Desi Kattey’, I feel quite confident about my skills and I am looking ahead at bigger projects. I am surely hoping to see myself as a leading lady in movies soon. I am putting in the best of my efforts to create my space in the competitive industry with a promise to come up with much more in acting for my fans.”
“I have been getting acting proposals in Bollywood and South and I am surely looking forward to explore them, now that I have managed to have a good command over Hindi. And since I love to dance, I would also like to do more of item numbers as well,” added the actress talking about the acting offers.

About working with Akshay Kumar and now Suniel Shetty, Claudia had to say, “It was a brilliant experience getting an opportunity to work with Akshay Kumar in my very first item song. I am really glad I have been getting such good breaks at the start of my career to work with such senior and experienced actors like Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty. I would definitely not mind working with younger actors in the future, in fact it would be great to work with them.”
Apart from the Bollywood offers in hand Claudia also worked in Bengali cinema, which comes as a surprise for a German girl to do. We asked the actress to throw some light on her experiences about working in Tollywood and she replied, “I have worked in a Bengali film called 10:10 in which I played the role of a journalist who wanted to discover India. It was little difficult to speak Bengali, but I tried my best to pick up words from my producer. For me it seemed similar to German and that helped me communicate in Bengali. I would love to work again in Bengali movies if something interesting comes my way.”

Well, her much-awaited item number from Desi Kattey is yet to release, as the producers have not yet decided on a release date. Suniel Shetty, Sasha Agha and Jay Bhanushali will be seen in the lead roles and Kailash Kher has been roped in to compose the music for the same.
